About the Teacher

Robin Young is a passionate teacher with a Master of Arts in Education from Concordia University, Irvine, California. She became interested in Art during her studies abroad, and for the past 17 years has taught pottery and drawing and painting courses to hundreds of students using unique and effective methods. Her first book, Art with the Masters, will be published soon, and she is creating a book on her pottery techniques as well.

Miss Robin has taught in schools for several years, and she currently enjoys teaching small groups and private classes to homeschoolers in her garage studio. She has exhibited her art at the Sawdust Winter Art Festival in Laguna Beach as well as other art venues.

Residing in Laguna Niguel with her artistic daughters, Lauren, a Film Producer on staff with Mariners Church, and Melissa, a recent UC Berkeley Art History graduate, Miss Robin enjoys spending time with her family. Her supportive mom, Barbara, her Aunt Sue who is battling Alzheimers and their lively Bichon rescue dog, Tucker, live with them too.

Miss Robin feels blessed to do what she loves for a living, and she hopes to inspire others to explore their own artistic abilities and creativity. She believes art is a gift from God that brings satisfaction, joy, and calmness in life. Art makes our lives better!
